Why we chose this word list
We intentionally started this theme at Medium instead of Easy: our own Easy specification calls for short, everyday vocabulary, and dinosaur names are neither. Forcing them into an Easy grid would mean breaking our own rules to hit a difficulty label.
Long words like "brontosaurus" and "pterodactyl" were placed first by the generator, before any shorter word, precisely because they are the hardest to fit into the grid.

We included the geological periods ("Cretaceous", "Triassic") because knowing which dinosaurs lived in which era is a genuine distinction paleontology teaches, not a detail most dinosaur puzzles bother with.
