Modern Word Search is published by Space Bits S.L. ("we", "us"), based in Barcelona, Spain. This page explains what information we collect from visitors to modernwordsearch.com and how we use it.
This site does not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personal information to browse, download, or print any puzzle. There are no user profiles and no login system anywhere on the site.
Server and analytics data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect standard technical information when you visit — such as your approximate location (city/country level), browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring site. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it running reliably; it is not used to identify you individually.
Cookies. We use a limited number of cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. We do not use cookies for advertising or to build cross-site profiles. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site remains fully usable without them, since it doesn't require an account.
Contact emails. If you email us through the address on our contact page, we receive whatever information you choose to include (your email address, name if provided, and the content of your message). We use this only to respond to you and keep no record of it beyond what's needed to handle your inquiry and maintain normal business email records.
Many of our puzzles are designed for children, but the site itself does not knowingly collect personal information from children, or from anyone, since there is no registration or account system of any kind. Parents, teachers and caregivers can browse and print any collection without providing any information about the children using it.
We use third-party providers for website hosting and analytics. These providers may process technical data (such as IP address) as described above, under their own privacy policies, solely to provide their service to us.
If you are located in the European Union or otherwise have data protection rights under applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (for example, in past email correspondence). To make such a request, contact us at puzzles@modernwordsearch.com.
We retain email correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to address your inquiry and for normal business record-keeping, and analytics data only in the aggregated, non-identifying form described above.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the site or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
